MEETUP RULES

We have established the following rules for the safety and enjoyment of all attendees, as well as property owners and other people who use the properties we visit. By attending a MA Golden Meetups event, each dog owner agrees that you are doing so at your own discretion, take full responsibility for yourself and your dog and your/their actions, accept full liability for any and all risk to yourself, your dog, all other humans and animals at the venue, and the venue property itself as it relates to your dog's actions and any consequences from your dog's actions, understand that neither the MA Golden Meetup organizers, nor the venue, are not liable for any injuries or conflicts, and agree to the rules outlined below.

  1. Stay home if your dog is coughing, sneezing, hacking, acting lethargic, or showing any other possible symptoms of being ill. If your dog shows any signs of being ill, it is your responsibility to keep your dog at home and prevent exposure to any other dog.

  2. Bring your own water bottle and bowl for your dog. Do not share water with other dogs and be sure to prevent your dog from using another dog's water bowl or bottle.

  3. Dogs must be on-leash in accordance with rules and signage at the property. If you choose to let your dog off-leash at any point, you do so at your own discretion and take full responsibility for your dog's actions.

  4. All initial introductions to other dogs must be on leash - no exceptions. (Even if the venue does not require a leash.)

  5. Retractable leashes are NOT PERMITTED

  6. We have zero tolerance for bad behavior. If your dog shows aggression or makes others feel uncomfortable and you do not make an appropriate correction to the situation, you will be asked to leave.

  7. Do not share food with other dogs without their human’s permission.

  8. This event is specifically intended for golden retrievers but non-golden siblings are welcome to join in on the fun.

  9. You are responsible for cleaning up after your dog. Please keep an eye on your dog so you know if he or she needs "cleanup duty".
All bags must be placed in appropriate trash barrels or taken home with you.
